Trauma-Informed Yoga

🤍 Trauma-Informed Yoga – A Gentle, Empowering Approach to Healing Movement

A trauma-informed yoga session offers a compassionate and personalised approach to movement and breath, honouring the unique experiences and sensitivities of each individual.

These one-on-one sessions are designed to support nervous system regulation, body awareness, and a sense of safety—at your own pace.

In a trauma-informed private yoga session, you can expect:

🧘‍♀️ Safe and Supportive Environment

Creating a physically and emotionally safe space is foundational. Each session is held with care, consistency, and warmth—allowing you to explore movement without pressure or expectation.

🤲 Choice and Empowerment

You’re invited to make choices throughout the session—whether that’s exploring a pose, resting, or adapting your movement. Your autonomy is always respected.

🌿 Gentle, Adaptive Movement

All postures and sequences are offered as options—not directives. Movements are gentle, stabilising, and adaptable to your energy level, comfort, and current needs.

🧠 Body Awareness & Interoception

Sessions focus on developing a grounded connection to your body and internal sensations—supporting nervous system regulation and helping rebuild trust in how you move and feel.

🌬️ Mindfulness and Breath Awareness

Breath is introduced gradually and respectfully. You’ll never be asked to force or control your breath—only to observe it in a way that feels safe and grounding.

🗣️ Trauma-Informed Language

All cues and guidance are offered using invitational, non-triggering language. There are no assumptions about your experience—only open space for what’s true for you in the moment.

🎵 Sensory Awareness

Depending on your preferences, we may include supportive sensory elements like soft lighting or calming music—always with consent, and always optional.

📚 Nervous System Education

As part of our work together, I may share simple insights into how trauma can affect the body and nervous system—helping you better understand what you’re feeling and how to gently respond.

🧍 Respect for Boundaries

There is no hands-on touch without explicit consent. Physical, emotional, and energetic boundaries are honoured throughout every session.

🤝 Culturally Sensitive and Inclusive

These sessions are inclusive and welcoming to people of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences.

Trauma-informed yoga is not about “fixing” or pushing through—it’s about creating a space where your body is listened to, your choices are honoured, and your healing unfolds with care.

All sessions are private and held in a quiet, comfortable studio in Singapore—with an experienced, certified teacher guiding your movement in a way that prioritises both emotional and physical safety.
